Man arrested for allegedly trafficking teen girl in Orange County

A man was arrested in Orange County for allegedly trafficking a 17-year-old girl.

The suspect was identified as Taishaman Adams Arrant, 31, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

On Nov. 21, police received information that a teen girl was reportedly being “exploited for purposes of commercialized sex.”

With help from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Anaheim detectives launched an investigation and worked to locate the victim.

Authorities identified Arrant as the suspect and, hours later, found the teen girl and brought her to safety. The suspect was located nearby shortly after, police said.

Arrant, who police discovered was a convicted felon, was arrested and booked into the Anaheim Police Department’s Detention Facility. Additional details on the arrest, including the circumstances of their discovery, were not released.

On Nov. 25, Arrant was charged with human trafficking of a minor by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. He remains in custody on $350,000 bail.
